Die KPÖ, namentlich Bundessprecher Mirko Messner und Waltraud Fritz-Klackl, Vertreterin der KPÖ in der Europäischen Linken, gratuliert den GenossInnen von SYRIZA und Alexis Tsipras zum gestrigen Wahlerfolg in Griechenland:

Dear comrades,

first of all: On behalf of the federal board of the CPA our wholehearted congratulations to our comrades within the SYRIZA alliance, to the vice president of the European Left, Alexis Tsipras, for that incredible and so well deserved victory! The Greek comrades fought for it, they put their and our alternatives for another Europe in front of the people and they were and are here for concrete help for whoever needs it! And for all their efforts, for all the dedication we want to say: Thank You!

You opened doors today. You opened perspectives today – not only for your country, but for the whole of Europe! You gave substance to the believe that another Europe is possible! These developments are inspiring. These developments confirm our commitment to co-operate for an alternative perspective.
